About SAAARMM
A group of medical specialists saw the need to form the Society for Anti-Aging Medicine in Malaysia and the first meeting was held in Lake Club on 19th March 2002. The driving force behind such a Society was Dato' Dr S. Harnam Consultant ENT Surgeon. Consultants from different specialities took part in the first meeting. The following were elected to the Protem Committee:

At the AGM held on 30th July 2002, all the above members were voted to the Committee of SAAMM for a period of two years. The Society's name in Bahasa Malaysia was decided as "Persatuan Anti-Penuaan Malaysia"The Constitution of the Society was drwan up and after many changes, as required by the registrar of Societies; the constitution was finally approved on 27th January 2003.
Anti-Aging Medicine is a fast growing speciality. It is a model of healthcare for living a long healthy life in this fast paced world. It promotes innovative science and research to prolong the healthy lifespan in humans. It uses advanced scientific and medical technologies for the purpose of early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related diseases.
The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) has been in existence for the past twelve years and has more than 12,000 members in 78 countries.
Our Mission
SAAMM is a non-profit Society dedicated to:
- Promote the highest standard of teaching, study and research among those engaged in the pratice of the art and science of anti-aging and related diseases in the best traditions of medicine and medical ethics.
- Convene scientific meetings for lectures, seminars, symposia or clinical demonstrations.
- Coordinate training programmes in Anti-Aging Medicine.
- Encourage support groups comprising senior citizens to help them in various ways to improve the quality of life.
- Publish newsletters, educational materials, journals, magazines, etc to disseminate knowledge on Anti-Aging Medicine.
- Develop quality control programmes in Anti-Aging Medicine.
- Act as an information center.
