Membership in the society shall be composed of as follows; and Membership and function of the Society will not berestricted for reasons of sex, race, religion or nationality.

There shall be no limit to the number of members of the society.

Honorary Fellow

Honorary fellowship shall be conferred on persons of any nationality who has made distinguished research contributions to the advancement of Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine on a National and International level. They shall be recommended and approved by the Executive Committee. Honorary fellows shall be appointed for life and they shall be exempted of membership fees. They shall have no voting rights.

Honorary Membership

Honorary members shall be distinguished persons who have rendered notable services to the society or to the advancement in the field of Anti-Aging Medicine and shall be recommended and approved by the Executive Committee. Honorary membership shall be for life. Such members shall be exempted of membership fees and shall have no voting rights except for members who have been upgraded from Ordinary Membership or those who are Life Members.

Life Membership

Application for this category shall be open to medical practitioners who shall be Malaysian citizens above 18 years of age interested in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine who pays a one-time payment of RM500.00. Such members shall continue to enjoy the privileges of Ordinary members and shall be exempted from paying annual fees.

Ordinary Membership

  • Ordinary Membership shall be open to medical practitioners who are Malaysian citizens above 18 years of age and are interested in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine.
  • Non-medical graduates with scientific expertise in the field of Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine may be invited by the EXCO to become members.

Associate Membership

They shall be persons who could aid the aims of the society but do not fulfil the criteria for Ordinary Membership. Such membership shall also be open to those who are medical practitioners, and those in allied medical fields e.g. pharmacists, and dieticians.

An Associate member may attend scientific meetings and social functions of the society but shall have no voting rights.

Corporate Membership

Shall be open to companies dealing with pharmaceuticals, anti-aging diagnostic facilities and related corporations. This category of members may attend the scientific meeting and social functions but shall have no voting rights. Such companies/bodies who lend substantial support to the Society shall be termed as Corporate Members and shall pay an entrance fee of RM1000.00 and annual fee of RM500.00.

Overseas Member

This category of membership is reserved for applicants who are residing abroad. Such members shall pay a one-time fee and shall be eligible to all rights of an Associate member but shall have no voting rights and shall not hold any office in the Society.

Memberships and functions of the Society will not be restricted for reason of race, sex, nationality or religion. There shall be no limit to the number of members of the Society.

Foundation Fellows

This group shall comprise:

  • the inaugural membership of the society who attended and were elected in the first protem meeting on 19th March 2002
  • medical practitioners with a higher qualification as Board Certified Physician in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine from the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM), MSc, PhD, Fellow or the equivalent) who have served in the Executive Committee and has acted as examiners in the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) examination. All Foundation Fellows shall be registered medical practitioners

Fellow

This group shall be elected by a simple majority of the executive committee of the society. The Fellowship Application Form shall be signed by two Fellows of the Society. All Fellows shall be registered medical practitioners and shall be one of the following:

  • a hospital consultant with recognized interest, experience and expertise in an area of Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine and/or Preventive Medicine.
  • a university lecturer or professor who is active either part time, full time or adjunct and experienced in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine and/or Preventive Medicine
  • a general practitioner who is active in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine and/or Preventive Medicine with a higher degree as Board Certified Physician in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine from the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM), MSc, PhD, Fellow or the equivalent)
  • a medical practitioner who is active in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine and/or Preventive Medicine with a higher degree as Board Certified Physician in Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine from the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM), MSc, PhD, Fellow or the equivalent) and has been elected or appointed committee member and active in any bonafide international or national Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine and/or Preventive Medicine body

The acronym for Foundation Fellow, Overseas Fellow and Fellow of the society shall be FSAAARMM and for Honorary Fellow shall be FSAAARMM (Hon).

Application of Membership

Every application for membership shall be made on approved forms obtained from the Secretary. The applications should be proposed and seconded by two existing members and shall be forwarded to the Secretary who shall at the first convenient opportunity, submit it to the Committee for approval. The Committee may at its discretion accept or reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.

Every applicant whose application has been approved as aforesaid shall upon payment of the prescribed entrance fee and first annual subscription be admitted as a member of the society and shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership.

Entrance fees, Subscriptions and Other Dues

  • The financial year shall start on the 1st January each year and end on the 31st December of each year.
  • The following fees shall be payable as follows:
    • Ordinary Member
      • The membership for this category shall pay an entrance fee of RM100.00 and annual subscription of RM50.00
    • Associate Member
      • The membership for this category shall pay an entrance fee of RM100.00 and annual subscription of RM50.00
    • Overseas Member
      • The membership for this category shall pay an entrance fee of RM100.00 and annual subscription of RM50.00
    • Life Member
      • The membership for this category shall pay a one-time payment of RM500.00 and shall be exempted from paying annual fees
    • Corporate Member
      • The membership for this category shall pay an entrance fee of RM1000.00 and annual subscription of RM500.00
    • Honorary Fellow, Foundation Fellow and Honorary Membership
      • The memberships for these categories are exempted of membership fees
    • Fellow
      • The membership for this category shall pay a one-time payment of RM1,000.00 and shall be exempted from paying annual fees
    • Overseas Fellow
      • The membership for this category shall pay a one-time payment of RM4,000.00 and shall be exempted from paying annual fees
  • The annual subscriptions for the various categories of membership shall be decided upon from time to time at the Annual General Meeting (Note).
  • The Annual Subscriptions shall be payable to treasurer at the beginning of each financial year.

 Rights and Privileges of Membership

  • Members are entitled to attend meetings of the society. Members may introduce not more than two guests at each clinical and scientific meeting. Guests shall not attend business meetings of the Society
  • Life, Upgraded Honorary, Foundation Fellow, Fellow and Ordinary Members shall be entitled to hold office in the Executive Committee and to vote.
  • Ordinary or Associate members who have been suspended for non-payment can be restored to membership upon payment of all unpaid dues
  • Any member who has not settled his payment / dues shall cease to have voting rights
